Camelia Japonica "Lavinia Maggi"

La mia prima Camelia Japonica mi è stata regalata quando morì mia madre, nel 2000.
E’ una Contessa Lavinia Maggi, una fra le più antiche (Van Houtte, 1860)



Ha passato i primi 6 anni in vaso, poi finalmente ha trovato il suo posto in questo giardino, nella zona ad est.

In un anno si è allargata e arrotondata, la fioritura è stata più generosa.
Nel 2008 i primi fiori sono sbocciati alla fine di ottobre.


Ha resistito alle nevicate di fine dicembre

e aveva i fiori quando è tornata la neve, nel marzo 2009.


Anche se si trova nella parte posteriore della casa, si fa ammirare, quando è il suo momento…
